Ten Days – Baja Mission Trip: Recap Video

September 15th, 2009

This past June 52 people from various campus chapters of Every Nation Campus Ministries around North America along with members of some Every Nation churches participated in a Ten Days mission trip during which we built a home, built a church and reached out in the community preaching the gospel and giving away discipleship resources like “The Purple Book” and Spanish Bibles.

Check out the 2 minute recap video, and make plans to go on a Ten Days Missions trip sometime soon. (Planning for 2010 trips is now underway!)

Here are a few pictures of our team and building project there in the outskirts of Tijuana in Baja, Mexico:

Mexico Mission Trip Recap

June 23rd, 2009

n41948176765_335I was so glad to be a part of the recent Ten Days mission trip to Baja, Mexico! During our time we served  in support of a local church in a community called Terrazas on the outskirts of Tijuana.

We saw God do so much in the five days we were there: a house and church building constructed, people saved, people baptized, discipleship materials distributed and even some people miraculously healed!

As a campus minister it really warmed my heart so much to see the students I brought on the trip engaging in the Great Commission and moving in faith. Even beyond the impact made in Mexico, I know that these students are changed forever!

I want to say a special thank you to all my ministry partners and those individuals who supported with prayer and finances myself and those who went on this mission trip. Without the support of others the 50 + people who went on this trip couldn’t have gone, and the impact that was made wouldn’t have happened. Those who support missions play an integral part!

If you are reading this and have never gone on a short term mission trip I encourage you to commit to go on one within the next year. If you think you are too old, you’re not. If you are worried about how you would get there and where the money would come from, don’t be. God is faithful and supplies for those who labor in His harvest fields.

There are many organizations that organize short term trips. Ten Days serves as the short-term missions arm of Every Nation Ministries in North America.

Ten Days Missions

March 2nd, 2009

Every Nation Ministries has really improved it’s short term missions program. Now called Ten Days Missions(which I suppose is the average length of a short term mission trip) the trips bring together students from churches and campus ministries all over but unify the teams and facilitate ease of administration through video training. Ten Days also makes online giving an option for would be trip participants.

Short term mission trips are powerful experiences. As you step out and commit to go, you are forced to stretch your faith to trust God to provide the finances to get there, experience another culture, see the multitudes that don’t know Jesus and witness God show up in the lives of people you are changed. – (All this in addition to the change that takes place in the people and community you go to serve!)

I am personally helping to mobilize some students for a mission trip to Baja Mexico this June 17-22. The cost of this trip (excluding the cost of airfare to San Diego) is $1,000.  If you are in the Tallahassee area and are interested in going please let me know, as we are starting the application and training processes now.

If those dates don’t work for you, or if you live in another part of the U.S., but want to get involved, check out the short term missions opportunities on the Ten Days Missions website.
